Court and I just recently purchased four games.

Carcassonne:Hunters and Gathers
Rack-o
Ticket to ride
Lost cities

If none of you have tried out these games I highly suggest it!! The first one on my list is one of our favorite games. It's almost could be considered a puzzle type game :) my favorite!! If you ever would like to try it out let us know :) we would love to play it with sometime! (right court??) :)

Cody

I'll admit that Carcassonne game is pretty cool. I guess mom hated it but I rather enjoyed it...and not just because I somehow managed to win.

Dude Court you should so make a computer version of that game or something. How hard could it be? Probably more than you would like to mess with.

Melissa and I liked Carcassonne so much we decided to buy a different version of it when we saw it at the games store today. Really good two player game.

The version we bought has knights and castles instead of forests and hunters but otherwise it is pretty similar.

I would have bought Ticket to Ride too as that is also really good but it was really expensive in the store.

We should get together and play some games again!

Really, Brad? Nice! Which game store was it? We searched around town in the usual places, but ended up getting our games from Amazon. Ticket to Ride was like $50 when I saw it in the store. We found it online ~$10 cheaper, shipped (still not cheap). You're welcome to borrow it, come over and play, or whatever (probably more practical for us to come there, but yeah).

Eve and I played Ticket to Ride last night with a couple I met in K-Town. They really liked that one, too. Also, 4-year-old boys really like the trains and Carcassonne's tile pieces :P Awesome!

Jacsveus, same thing as to Brad: come over and play whenever! Or we can bring it. As for a computer version, that's kind of how Eve found it (Carcassonne). There is an iPhone app for it. The gameplay wouldn't be hard to recreate; however, making decent artwork and not infringing on patent/copyright laws would be more challenging. And yeah, apparently that round we played with Mom was overly-tiring for Eve...

Cody

Well we were playing with five people...and three of them had never played before and were rather confused. But I think I have it mostly figured out now. I wouldn't mind playing it again with you sometime. Hopefully three people would make it less excruciating than last time. If I get really bored I will make awesome Carcassonne tiles in Photoshop just because I can! Anyways, yeah.

We got it from the game store at the outlet mall in Lincoln City. We played last night and Melissa beat me... she made most of her points from her monks.

Why hello fellas!

Cody, I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Sorry your mom didn't. Not too sure why. Maybe a mixture of things. I was quite drained after playing. The game itself shouldn't take that long and it's really not that hard. Pretty much like a puzzle once you figure out how all the pieces go together!

Brad, that is sweet! Can't wait to play that one with you guys :) I don't know if you caught what I said but the game we have is actually another version of the original game carcassonne. Carcassonne itself has lik 7-8 extension packs that go with the game. I know their is an abbeys and monk one. (extension pack) Not sure if that's what you guys ended up with? Or it's all together something different? I was under the impression that you had to have the original game in order to play the extension packs. My friends in AZ said we could try out the original game they have and extension packs. But they won't be here for a good month or so. I would like to buy something called carcassone "the big box" which has the original game and like 6-7 extension packs :)

We should get together soon! And play it!

Sorry about the ticket to ride gamw being too much. Amazon did have a great price though!

Brad

Yeah we got the original version of Carcassonne. No expansion packs or anything though...

Frioevie

Aren't their more meeples in the original game then the one we have? We played late last night, like 11 lol. So great! We both got over a hundred points :)

zourtney

Dang that flaming tiger! The game would've been a lot closer had you not drawn that...guess it's payback for that first time we played :)

Anyway, yeah, it would be fun to try the other version some time too!
