I keep trying to find some bike trails close by, but am having trouble.

The trails at Silver Falls weren't bad, but a little too domesticated for my liking. Perhaps the best choice would be trying to find some offshoot of an old logging road?

Logging roads sound cool. I think I am a little out of shape for that anymore. Hopefully that will change now that there is sun-a-plenty.

Opal creek might be a little more "rugged" then silver falls was. But the pavement at SF was nice for my wimpy legs / cardiovascular system.

zourtney

yeah, the pavement was alright. It was a good day trip within our reach.

My legs still have (most of) the oomph, but my stamina is lacking.

Haha. Nice. ok ok..... You need to get those epic boots of +50 stamina then!!!! yuck yuck yuck

zourtney

hahah ooooh boy.

Ok. I don't know what the weather's going to be like this weekend. Maybe hikes in lieu of bikes this time around.

I found a trailhead in South Salem (OR), at the end of Browning Ave. There was printed sign which read "warning: cougar sightings." It's probably mushy now, but might be worth a try. Be sure to ask Batman for the cougar repellent, though.
