Note: I know that Randomland's boards are so far "off the internet" that this will never get linked to, but I thought I should try anyway

A few weeks ago, I went in to work, and upgraded my IDE to FlashDevelop 3.0 RTM2. Immediately, I started getting a "Trace Overflow" message in the Output window.

The developer, Philippe quickly responded with:
Quote
Trace Overflow" is a new security feature of the output capture - it saves FD from freezing when it is flooded by too many tracing.

Now the problem is apparently that this limit is too low or it doesn't reset properly. We'll check that.

This can happen if you have an excessive amount of errors or your application traces an excessive amount of text to the output window. I simply downgraded to FlashDevelop 3.0 RTM1 at work, and everything was back to normal. The limit has been upped, according to Philippe, as of July 19, 2009 and saved to the SVN repository.
