Title: Best places to go camping... and their number of honda sightings

Elk Lake:
A wonderful little pair of lakes tucked away in the mountains above Detroit lake. You follow a rocky, bumpy, rutted and unmaintained road up, up and up to the main lake and camp ground. If your cooling system is not in peak condition you will soon be alerted to the fact by steam, gurgling noises or a pegged temp gauge.

The main camping area has sites for 20 or more groups all around the lake. There are new bathrooms recently installed (not flushing, but still nice) and many, many miles of hiking to be done in the area.

Honda sighting: Yes. Many hondas (civics, accords, crvs and some new-new subarus) have been sighted in the area. Their numbers may decrease as the road continues to deteriorate.

4WD is recommended during the rainy or snowy times of the year. And there is snow present year round at times.
